Job Title: AWS Devops Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL and Dallas, TX
Experience: 10+ years
 
Role and Overview of the role
Value Technology is seeking for a DevOps Engineer on the DevOps and Cybersecurity team supporting Tethys and Helios platform engineering teams.  Assigned as main point of contact for a handful of engineering teams to provide DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and Cybersecurity support, will support AI/ML Ops oriented teams. Act as point of contact for several engineering teams.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
  • DevOps Engineer will work within the DevOps Engineering team to support various Client Digital engineering teams in their efforts to develop, build, test, and deploy their solutions to the cloud.
 
Typical task breakdown:
  • Typical tasks include managing AWS IAM, troubleshooting Client / Cloud connection issues, and working with engineers on CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code tasks.
 
Interaction with team:
  • l DevOps Engineers meet internally regularly via a standup meeting and then are assigned to support specific Digital engineering teams that are the single point of contact for support from the DevOps team.
 
Work environment
  • Client Digital office with other DevOps Engineers
 
Desired
  • Associate or Professional-level AWS and/or Azure certifications related to DevOps, Development, or Architecture.
  • Proficiency with AWS firewall and network configuration.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
  • Experience with NVIDIA GPU’s for AI use cases, specifically from a cybersecurity and - governance perspective.
  • Analytic mindset and skilled problem solver for troubleshooting issues
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to collaborate cross functionally and enhance scalability.
 
Soft Skills Required
  • Strong interpersonal and technical communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross functional team.
