Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to support a mission-focused environment supporting critical government operations. This position requires a strong Linux systems administration background, experience with virtualization and automation technologies, and the ability to operate in secure enterprise environments. Required Experience
- Fifteen (15) years of experience as a System Administrator (SA)
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university required
- Five (5) additional years of SA experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree Required Certifications
- Active Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M requirements, or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of start date Required Technical Skills
- Linux system administration
- Containerization technologies
- Storage management
- KVM virtualization
- Automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible and/or SALT
- FreeIPA administration and support
- Scripting experience using Bash, Perl, Python, or similar languages
- SSP compliance and documentation support
- STE/STN support experience
- Cloud technologies and AWS experience Clearance Requirement
- Active security clearance required Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based enterprise environments
- Support virtualization, storage, and container platforms
- Develop and maintain automation solutions for system deployment and configuration management
- Support secure system operations in compliance with government security requirements
- Assist with SSP documentation and compliance initiatives
- Provide operational support for mission systems and secure communications infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to maintain system availability and performance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting classified or mission-critical government environments
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced operational settings
