Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IBM ITX (IBM Transformation Extender) Developer with strong expertise in Healthcare EDI and NCPDP transactions to join our integration team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and maintaining ITX maps, implementing HIPAA-compliant EDI solutions, and working with healthcare transaction standards. This role requires both functional and technical expertise in healthcare EDI, strong XML transformation skills, and the ability to build scalable integration solutions.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Transformation Extender (ITX/ITXA) development.
- Extensive experience with NCPDP transactions, including both functional and technical implementation.
- Strong experience with HIPAA X12 EDI transactions, including:
- 270/271 Eligibility Inquiry & Response
- 834 Enrollment
- 820 Premium Payment
- 835 Claim Payment/Remittance
- 837 Healthcare Claims
- Experience working with the IBM HIPAA Healthcare Pack and implementing SNIP validation rules.
- Hands-on experience developing custom ITX maps and custom edits.
- Strong experience with XML technologies including XML, XSD, XSLT, WSDL, and SOAP Web Services.
- Experience with Java development is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain IBM ITX/ITXA maps for healthcare EDI processing.
- Build and support NCPDP and HIPAA X12 transaction processing solutions.
- Develop custom validation rules and business logic within IBM ITX.
- Implement and maintain HIPAA Healthcare Package standards and SNIP compliance rules.
- Design and develop XML transformations using XSLT, XSD, WSDL, and SOAP-based web services.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and application developers to deliver high-quality integration solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues, optimize map performance, and ensure reliable transaction processing.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, testing, and production support activities.

Qualifications
- Strong experience developing enterprise healthcare integration solutions using IBM ITX.

- Experience working with healthcare payer or pharmacy benefit management (PBM) systems is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a collaborative Agile environment.
