The Role • Installation of various cables (multi-core, single core, co-axial) and electrical systems (junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, switches). • Performing cable termination and installation of all electrical equipment. • Interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. • Collaborating with shipbuilding teams to ensure efficient electrical installations. • Ensuring all work adheres to stringent safety and quality standards. What You'll Need • Completion of a Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent trade qualification, holding a SJIB card. • Experience in marine installations or major industrial environments. • Familiarity with risk assessments, PUWER, COSHH, and safe working requirements. • Ability to read and follow trade drawings, electrical schematics, and technical instructions. • Understanding of tag-out processes and safe proving-dead procedures. • Proficiency in mounting electrical equipment, earthing components, and completing cable terminations to trade standards.
