Job Summary

We are seeking Senior Controller with 5+ years of accounting and finance experience, including Controller-level responsibility within community banking/financial services. Strong expertise in bank accounting, loan and investment reporting, GL, reconciliations, financial statements, GAAP, CECL, Call Reports, regulatory reporting, and internal controls. Proven leader in staff management, audits, budgeting, forecasting, liquidity and capital monitoring, with the ability to provide financial insight and strategic support to executive leadership.

Required Qualifications

•    5+ years of accounting and finance experience within banking or financial services.

•      Must have Controller-level or senior level accounting experience within a small community bank. Note: Large-bank experience alone is not sufficient.

•   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

•   CPA license is preferred.

•   Strong experience with:

• Bank accounting
• Loan accounting and reporting
• Managing Investment and reporting
• General Ledger (GL)
• Account reconciliations
• Month-end and year-end close
• Financial statement preparation and analysis

•   Strong knowledge of:

• GAAP
• CECL
• Prologue application
• Call Reports
• Bank regulatory reporting
• FDIC, Federal Reserve, and OCC requirements
• Internal controls

•    Experience managing and supporting:

• External and internal audits
• Regulatory examinations
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Liquidity management
• Capital ratio monitoring
• Tax compliance
• Financial analysis and reporting

•  Experience with banking software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel is required.

•  Strong leadership, staff management, team supervision, and mentoring experience.

•  Ability to support executive-level financial decisions and provide financial insights to senior leadership.
