Senior SAP Functional Consultant - Finance and Controlling (FI/CO)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP FI/CO Functional Consultant to join our ECC to S/4HANA conversion project team. In this role, you will be a key contributor throughout the full project lifecycle—from discovery and fit-gap analysis through go-live and hypercare. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience delivering S/4HANA migrations and deep expertise in Finance and Controlling, including a thorough understanding of Universal Journal architecture and the FI/CO simplifications introduced in S/4HANA.

Required Qualifications

•         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

•         7+ years hands-on SAP FI/CO functional consulting experience.

•         Minimum 2 full-lifecycle ECC to S/4HANA conversion projects in a lead FI/CO role (brownfield, greenfield, or selective data transition).

•         Deep knowledge of S/4HANA Universal Journal architecture and its impact on FI/CO processes and configuration.

•         Experience with new Asset Accounting in S/4HANA (parallel depreciation areas, asset migration).

•         Strong understanding of the merger of CO cost elements into G/L accounts and implications for reporting.

•         Hands-on experience with financial data migration tools: SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC), LSMW, or RFBIBL00.

•         Experience with SAP Activate methodology.

•         Proficiency writing functional specifications and collaborating with ABAP developers on RICEFW.

•         Excellent communication skills; able to convey financial process impacts to non-technical business stakeholders.

•         Strong ability to manage priorities and meet project milestones.

Preferred Qualifications

•         SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Finance (current version preferred).

•         Experience with SAP Group Reporting or S/4HANA for Group Business Planning.

•         Familiarity with SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR/IFRS 15).

•         Experience with SAP Tax compliance integrations (Vertex, Sovos, or similar).

•         Prior consulting experience with a system integrator in a project delivery model.
