Our client is looking for a Systems Validation Engineer for a 6 month onsite contract opportunity located in Goleta, CA.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Systems Validation Engineer
Position Summary: The Systems Validation Engineer designs and develops systems and software test programs for automated and manual testing of advanced imaging and camera systems. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and running a suite of validation test applications, analyzing test results, reporting findings in a detailed and organized fashion, and assisting with issue resolution.

Requirements:
Education & Experience: BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience) with 2+ years of experience in engineering verification or validation.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Windows development and test environments (Linux knowledge is a plus).
Critical ability to write and understand Python code. Understanding of C, C++, and/or C# is helpful.
Experience writing validation test plans, executing automated/manual test cases, writing reusable test code, and generating analytical reports.
Test automation experience adapted to embedded development.
Hands-on experience with PyTest is highly preferred.
Tools & Systems:
Software version control systems (SVN, Git), project tracking, and bug/ticket management systems.
Continuous Integration tool expertise, particularly with Jenkins.
Experience with test case management tools (e.g., Jama) and the Atlassian suite (Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence) is a plus.
Experience leveraging AI tools for testing commercial products is highly valued.
Work Authorization: Must be a US Person ( or US Permanent Resident required).
