Job Description

About Swap

Swap is the infrastructure behind modern agentic commerce. The only AI-native platform connecting backend operations with a forward-thinking storefront experience.

Built for brands that want to sell anything - anywhere, Swap centralises global operations, powers intelligent workflows, and unlocks margin-protecting decisions with real-time data and capability. Our products span cross-border, tax, returns, demand planning, and our next-generation agentic storefront, giving merchants full transparency and the ability to act with confidence.

At Swap, we’re building a culture that values clarity, creativity, and shared ownership as we redefine how global commerce works.

Key responsibilities

  • Own strategic and operational carrier relationships across the Americas portfolio

  • Lead negotiations on rates, surcharges, service commitments, and contract terms

  • Run quarterly business reviews and regular carrier-performance reviews

  • Monitor service, transit, and cost performance across key lanes and merchants

  • Lead major carrier escalations and drive corrective action

  • Support Sales and Account Management on complex merchant opportunities

  • Recommend routing, carrier, and commercial changes based on performance and economics

  • Build disciplined internal reporting on carrier health and risk

  • Work closely with Operations, Product, and Finance on carrier-linked issues and decisions

Candidate profile

  • 7–12 years in carrier management, parcel, cross-border logistics, or related fields

  • Experience with FedEx, UPS, DHL, or comparable carrier and ecommerce infrastructure businesses

  • Strong negotiation capability

  • Strong analytical judgement

  • Able to operate credibly with carriers, commercial teams, and senior leadership

This role is intended to remove carrier firefighting from the VP layer and create real commercial ownership of carrier performance across the Americas.
