The Role

• Operate heavy machinery, including hostlers, cranes, and top loaders, to manage shipping containers within an intermodal yard.
• Load and unload containers from various transport modes, such as railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to accurately position containers and chassis throughout the yard.
• Conduct pre- and post-use inspections of equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth logistics operations.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• A strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Open availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
