Database Developer

We are seeking an experienced Database Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle databases, SQL, PL/SQL development, and ETL processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting database solutions, stored procedures, packages, functions, data extraction/transformation processes, and complex SQL queries.

The candidate must have hands-on experience using TOAD and/or Oracle SQL Developer for database development, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and data validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle database applications and solutions.

• Develop complex SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, cursors, and scripts.

• Develop and support ETL processes for extracting, transforming, validating, and loading data between systems.

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.

• Perform data mapping, data validation, transformation, cleansing, and reconciliation.

• Develop reusable PL/SQL components and database utilities.

• Troubleshoot database issues and perform root-cause analysis for data and application problems.

• Optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL code, and database processes for improved performance.

• Work with large data sets and develop efficient queries for reporting and operational applications.

• Create and maintain database objects including tables, views, indexes, sequences, synonyms, procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.

• Support data migration, conversion, and integration activities.

• Perform unit testing and support integration testing, regression testing, and production validation.

• Analyze production issues, identify data-related defects, and implement corrective solutions.

• Use TOAD and/or Oracle SQL Developer for SQL/PLSQL development, debugging, data analysis, and database administration-related activities.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Application Developers, ETL Developers, QA teams, and Database Administrators.

• Create and maintain technical documentation for database objects, ETL processes, data mappings, and technical solutions.

• Follow development standards, version-control practices, change-management procedures, and data-security requirements.
