Location (if onsite/hybrid): Candidates must be local to Newark, DE and be willing to go onsite to client office three times per week.
Expected duration: 14 months from candidate's start date
Agency Supplier bill rate: Max $40/hour on C2C
Required skills, experience, etc.: 5+ years of software testing and QA experience, 2+ years leading UAT efforts for enterprise implementations, Salesforce implementation experience, experience supporting legacy mainframe-to-cloud modernization projects, strong test planning, defect management, and parallel testing experience, experience coordinating business SMEs and cross-functional teams, proficiency with Jira, Xray, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or qTest, and strong stakeholder communication skills. Unemployment Insurance Tax or public sector experience is highly preferred.
Interview process: 2 interviews with Client - 1 virtual technical interview, and 1 onsite interview - must be local to Newark, DE.

Job Description

We are looking for a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Lead to lead User Acceptance Testing strategy, planning, and execution for a large-scale Unemployment Insurance Tax modernization initiative, ensuring business, regulatory, and operational requirements are met prior to production deployment. This position will be a contract and hybrid in Newark, DE.

What You'll Do

• Define and own the overall UAT strategy, test approach, entry and exit criteria, and acceptance sign-off process for the Salesforce UI Tax platform
• Develop the UAT master plan, schedule, and resource model aligned to program release cycles
• Translate business requirements, legacy mainframe functionality, and Salesforce UI Tax configurations into testable acceptance criteria and test scenarios
• Establish traceability between legacy functionality, business requirements, user stories, and UAT test cases
• Lead development of UAT test scripts and scenarios covering employer registration, wage reporting, tax rate computation, benefit charging, delinquency and penalty processing, appeals, refunds, and correspondence
• Coordinate parallel testing and reconciliation between legacy mainframe outputs and Salesforce outputs to validate data conversion accuracy and calculation parity
• Collaborate with business analysts and subject matter experts to ensure testing accurately reflects business requirements and regulatory standards
• Manage defect triage, prioritization, tracking, and resolution activities in partnership with Salesforce development teams and mainframe subject matter experts
• Coordinate closely with project teams and vendor partners to support timely defect resolution and retesting activities
• Support compliance with applicable security, privacy, and regulatory requirements when testing sensitive financial and personally identifiable information
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, testing workshops, status reviews, and readiness assessments
• Provide regular testing status updates, risk assessments, and go-live readiness recommendations to leadership and governance teams
• Support production readiness activities and obtain formal business sign-off for deployment

What You'll Need

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• 2+ years of experience leading User Acceptance Testing efforts for enterprise implementations
• 2+ years of experience with Salesforce implementations including Salesforce, Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, Salesforce Government Cloud, or related platforms
• Experience supporting legacy mainframe to cloud or CRM modernization projects
• Experience with data conversion validation, reconciliation testing, and parallel testing activities
• Experience managing business subject matter expert testers across multiple departments or business units
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including business, quality assurance, development, and data conversion resources
• Proficiency with testing and defect management tools such as Jira, Xray, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, Micro Focus ALM, or qTest
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience presenting project status and testing results to leadership and governance boards
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience working in consulting or professional services environments with evolving priorities and project requirements

Preferred:

• Experience supporting state or public sector technology programs
• Knowledge of Unemployment Insurance Tax business processes including employer registration, wage reporting, contribution calculations, tax rate determination, benefit charging, and appeals processing
• Salesforce certifications including Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst, or Salesforce Public Sector Solutions Specialist
• ISTQB, Certified Test Manager, or related testing certification
• Experience working within Agile or SAFe delivery methodologies
• Experience supporting Unemployment Insurance modernization, benefits modernization, Medicaid modernization, or similar government transformation programs
