Regional Marketing Assistant

Role Overview

This is a full-time, in-office role based in our Manchester city centre office, which is located next to Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualise, plan, and coordinate online and offline workshops, webinars, and conferences.

• Assist in implementing the regional marketing strategy and organising individual regional events.

• Support on-site event logistics to ensure the smooth execution of all event activities.

• Assist Deputy Managing Editors with organising and conducting on-site and off-site stakeholder visits.

• Collaborate closely with editors, designers, and other internal teams to ensure consistent and effective marketing efforts.

• Monitor and report on the performance of marketing initiatives, using analytics tools to evaluate campaign effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, maintaining marketing calendars, and managing correspondence.

• Prepare post-event reports for internal stakeholders.

• Collect and analyse feedback from event attendees and internal teams to evaluate event outcomes and prepare comprehensive post-event reports.

Additional Responsibilities

• Handle incoming inquiries regarding information about all the services offered by MDPI.

• Coordinate with external vendors for the procurement of marketing materials.

• Undertake any additional marketing tasks assigned by managers.

• Identify conferences and events in the assigned region that may be of interest for collaboration, generate leads, and make initial contact.

• Conduct market research to identify trends, target audiences, and competitive landscape. Provide insights to inform marketing strategies.

• Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to during events, set up and tear down.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in marketing or events management.

• Some experience in events planning and management.

• Intermediate use of Microsoft O365.

• Project management, digital marketing and content creation skills.

• Intermediate communication, problem solving skills and ability to collaborate in a team.
