Role Overview

We are seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to own the development and integration of real-time automated visual inspection systems for our pharmaceutical packaging lines. In this role, you will design and deploy edge-based vision models that interface with high-speed cameras and IoT hardware to detect packaging defects, verify serialization, and ensure 100% quality compliance at line speed.

Key Responsibilities

• Algorithm & Model Development: Design, train, and optimize computer vision models (object detection, segmentation, anomaly detection) to inspect pill packaging, blister packs, and labels in real time.

• Edge & IoT Integration: Deploy optimized models onto edge computing hardware connected to high-speed industrial cameras, ensuring ultra-low latency inference that matches manufacturing line throughput.

• Camera & Hardware Optimization: Collaborate on the selection, configuration, and calibration of high-speed cameras, specialized optics, and strobe lighting systems.

• Data Pipeline Management: Build robust pipelines for capturing, preprocessing, and managing high-speed video streams and image datasets.

• Compliance & Quality: Document code, testing, and validation protocols in alignment with healthcare/pharmaceutical manufacturing standards (e.g., cGMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11).

Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Core Languages: Proficient in Python and C++ (C++ is critical for high-speed/low-latency optimization).

• CV & Deep Learning Frameworks: Extensive experience with OpenCV and frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or TensorRT.

• Hardware & Edge Systems: Hands-on experience with industrial camera protocols (GigE Vision, USB3 Vision), frame grabbers, and edge deployment platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Intel OpenVINO).

• Domain Experience: Background in high-speed manufacturing, robotic automation, or machine vision inspection (experience in a regulated healthcare/pharma environment is a massive plus).
