Quick overview
Job description
About the Role
Design and deliver real-time electronic control systems for flight vehicles in the defense and aerospace sector. This hands-on role owns hardware from initial design through bring-up, validation, and integration, working closely with guidance, navigation and control, avionics, and flight software teams.
What You'll Do
Design control electronics boards, including motor controllers, actuator drivers, and feedback and control circuits.
Own hardware development end to end, from PCB design through bring-up, debugging, integration, and production.
Develop microcontroller, microprocessor, and mixed-signal circuitry for real-time processing and control.
Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate hardware with vehicle systems.
Define requirements and make technical decisions across the hardware design.
What We're Looking For
Three to 15 years of experience designing control or power electronics hardware, including motor drivers or actuator controllers.
A bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
Hands-on experience designing, bringing up, and debugging control or power electronics PCB assemblies.
Experience with analog and mixed-signal circuits for motor drivers, power conversion, or precision control loops.
PCB design skills from schematic capture through layout; Altium experience is preferred.
Familiarity with SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, ARM microcontrollers, CAN, DDR, FPGA, and embedded C.
Background in flight hardware or other high-reliability systems, such as aerospace, defense, or automotive, and experience in a fast-paced hardware environment.
U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance. Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
