- Continually acquire new knowledge of and experience with a variety of innovative technologies, treatment approaches, and design tools.
- Develop ability to identify resources required to complete projects or assignments.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and adapt to project changes.
- Develop your professional network within the water industry through interactions with clients, regulatory agencies, other consulting firms, and industry organizations.
As you gain experience, you will have the opportunity to contribute to more complex assignments and responsibilities, which may include guiding less experienced staff and interns. This progressive involvement will help you build a strong foundation in process engineering and prepare you for future leadership roles within our team.
Typical office environment will be working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
- Thorough understanding of the fundamental concepts of process/mechanical engineering or civil/environmental engineering.

- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project assignments, prioritize, and take direction.
- Ability to prepare complete, concise, and organized engineering studies, designs, and specifications.
- Willingness and ability to perform field work, as needed, within the Portland area.
Education and Experience
- BS degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering, or related field, required.
- MS degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field, preferred.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required, or ability to achieve within 1 year.
- 2-5 years of experience in the planning or design of water, wastewater, or related infrastructure.
