Location: Denver, CO or Nashville, TN – Hybrid (2 days onsite per week)

Duration: 6+ months

Pay Rate: $31/hr on W2

Position Overview

We are seeking a Paralegal I to join the Hospital Services Group (HSG) Business Arrangements & Transactions (BAT) team. This position will support a high-volume, fast-paced contracting environment focused on Hospital Services Agreements (HSAs).

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with contract drafting, contract review, redlining, contract lifecycle management, and strong attention to detail. Experience working with healthcare-related agreements or within a regulated environment is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review contract intake forms and prepare initial agreements and amendments.
  • Draft, review, and redline contracts in accordance with established business and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure contract drafts comply with applicable handbook requirements and the Preferred, Acceptable, Discouraged, Unacceptable (PADU) framework.
  • Create and maintain accurate contract records in Jarvis and Eagle.
  • Finalize clean contract documents following completion of negotiations.
  • Coordinate contracts for internal and hospital signatures and manage the contract closeout process.
  • Support the billing team by ensuring completed contracts are properly closed out for invoicing.
  • Draft and process Short-Term Extensions (STEs) and Notices of Non-Renewal (NNTRs).
  • Prepare Demand Letters and Breach Letters related to delinquent hospital accounts and operational disputes.
  • Manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Research contract-related issues and assist in identifying appropriate resolutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Certificate in Paralegal Studies required.
  • 1+ year of Paralegal experience required.
  • Previous experience with contract drafting and negotiation preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
