Location: Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite. Candidates need to be in/near San Antonio, TX, Jacksonville, FL, or Alpharetta, GA

First week Expectations: First week onsite Monday-Friday with a team member

Travel: Possibility for limited travel to a client site (10%)

 

Platform Operations Engineer:

 

We are seeking a Platform Operations Engineer with 4-8 years expertise in enterprise integrations, API platforms, and highly available systems. This role is responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting scalable API and integration solutions while ensuring platform reliability, security, and performance across enterprise environments.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support enterprise API and integration solutions using IBM API Connect (APIC) and IBM DataPower.
  • Build, secure, publish, and manage REST and SOAP APIs, ensuring compliance with API governance standards.
  • Develop integration components and transformation services using GatewayScript, XSLT, XPath, JSON, XML, and related technologies.
  • Deploy and support API platforms within OpenShift, containerized, cloud, hybrid-cloud, and on-premises environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to APIs, middleware, integrations, networking, and system performance while supporting CI/CD and DevOps initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM API Connect (APIC) and IBM DataPower Gateway platforms.
  • Expertise in REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, XSLT, XPath, WSDL/XSD, and enterprise integration technologies.
  • Experience implementing API security standards, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, mTLS, LDAP, and certificate-based authentication.
  • Knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, containerized deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience designing highly available, resilient systems and working with microservices, event-driven architectures, and enterprise integrations.

 This is a hybrid role that requires working onsite 3 days per week. The first full week on the project will also require working onsite Monday-Friday. Candidates must be located in San Antonio, TX; Jacksonville, FL; or Alpharetta, GA.
