Job Description

Business Analyst (Data / Data Migration & Transformation)

£500 per day (Outside IR35)

6-Month Contract

Fully Remote with Occasional Travel to London/Manchester


We're currently seeking experienced Data Business Analysts to join a major transformation programme. This is an exciting opportunity to support a large-scale data and system transformation, helping to define data requirements, improve data processes, and support critical discovery activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery activities to understand and document current ("as-is") data processes, flows, and sources.
  • Define future-state ("to-be") data processes, governance, and reporting requirements.
  • Gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and data requirements.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technical teams to understand data challenges and opportunities.
  • Support data migration, integration, and transformation activities.
  • Produce high-quality business analysis artefacts, process maps, data dictionaries, and documentation.


Essential Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Data Business Analyst on data transformation, migration, or system implementation programmes.
  • Strong requirements gathering, data mapping, process mapping, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience documenting both as-is and to-be processes and data flows.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data lifecycle management.
  • Experience working with large datasets and liaising with technical delivery teams.


Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting cloud, analytics, or digital transformation programmes.
  • Knowledge of SQL, data modelling, reporting tools, or data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience working in regulated environments.


Contract Details

  • 6-month contract
  • ASAP start
  • Outside IR35
  • Fully remote , with occasional travel to UK offices (including London and Manchester).
