Principal Architect, Enterprise Systems (Perm or CTH)

Principal Architect, Enterprise Systems (Perm or CTH):  A senior technical leader responsible for defining and advancing the enterprise application architecture strategy. This role focuses on application design, integration, scalability, security, and the continued evolution of the connected ecosystem. Serving as the trusted technical authority for connected application architecture, this Architect establishes standards for application interoperability, performance and lifecycle management, while driving innovation across the application architecture.  This position provides leadership across our development and operations teams to establish and maintain consistency of process, tools, architectural approaches and quality.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead Connected Systems architecture strategy across applications, cloud platforms, integration, security and operational services.
• Develop and govern technology architecture standards, reference patterns, and decision frameworks. 
• Ensure systems and services meet availability, performance, and security objectives while aligning architecture decisions with business strategy and market challenges.
• Drive standards, common practices, and cross‑engineering consistency. 
• Lead engineering teams to establish and maintain consistency in processes, tools, architectural approaches, and quality expectations.
• Mentor and coach system engineers. 
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendor partners. 
• Cultivate strong internal partnerships by developing a comprehensive understanding of business processes, priorities, and cross-functional technology needs.

Required Skills

• Advanced understanding of cloud technologies and techniques.
• Experience with DevSecOps, helping define the foundational standards, practices, and guardrails that engineering teams will follow.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in presenting complex topics to different audiences.
• Ability to easily break down complex, ambiguous problems and propose novel solutions.
• Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environment, solving unique and challenging software problems, and developing innovative solutions.
• Extensive experience working in a team environment, leading collaboration efforts, and sharing new ideas to support achieving collective team goals.
• Consultative skills including issue diagnosis, unpacking, and advising on executive-level challenges.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• Intrinsically curious and passionate about researching current and emerging trends in technology.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate and achieve cohesion among different individuals and functions.
• Agile product management or corporate development experience.
