QA Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in Salt Lake City, UT that is seeking an experienced QA Project Manager to provide strategic quality leadership for a fast-moving technology initiative with frequent releases and a distributed QA team.

Summary

This is not a traditional hands-on testing or SDET role. Instead, this position combines a strong QA mindset with project leadership and Scrum-style coordination. You will help establish how testing is organized, measured, and governed while ensuring QA resources have the direction and support needed to deliver quality releases.
The ideal candidate comes from a Project Management background and understands QA testing deeply enough to identify risks, establish effective processes, guide automation efforts, and ensure teams are meeting appropriate quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Senior-level experience leading software QA/testing initiatives as a QA Project Manager Test Lead, Senior Test Lead, QA Lead, QA Manager, or similar role
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, standards, and QA governance
• Demonstrated experience building and implementing QA processes, standards, templates, metrics, and reporting
• Experience leading QA work, setting priorities, managing dependencies, and removing blockers for testing teams
• Strong understanding of test automation concepts and frameworks and how automation fits into an overall QA strategy
• Experience overseeing testing and quality within an Agile/Scrum environment
• Experience supporting testing documentation, governance, and audit readiness
• Ability to evaluate QA risks and ensure appropriate regression and release-quality processes are followed
• Strong project leadership, organization, and prioritization skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to leadership questions, issues, and escalations

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
