Job Description

Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are properly tracked and accounted for. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of inventory experience, strong computer skills, and excellent organizational and communication abilities.

Schedule & Pay

  • Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • $17/hour
  • Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory controls to ensure inventory is accurate and up to date
  • Perform monthly cycle counts and assist with the year-end physical inventory count
  • Investigate inventory overages and shortages to determine root causes
  • Communicate inventory issues and recommend solutions to management
  • Review weekly and monthly material usage reports and make recommendations for reorder levels and production quantities
  • Review inventory cost variances and identify root causes
  • Accurately receive inventory and expense items into the business
  • Maintain organized inventory records and documentation
  • Communicate effectively through email and in person

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with numbers and computer systems. Strong inventory experience and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies are essential for success in this role.

  • At least 2 years of inventory experience required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience performing cycle counts required
  • Proficient with computers, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Good common sense and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • DOT drug screen required
  • Clean background required
  • No steel toes required
