Linux Migration Engineer

Proven experience in Linux systems administration and engineering, with a focus on datacentre migrations.

Strong experience in handling Linux Operating System RHEL, CentOS.

Migration Planning & Execution: Develop and execute migration plans for datacentre workloads, including P2P and P2V migrations, leveraging HPE Zerto, VMware SRM, and native tools.

Design Documentation: Prepare comprehensive migration design documents outlining architecture, processes, risk mitigation, and rollback strategies.

Working experience with HPE Zerto and VMware SRM migration tools preferred.

Solid understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS), volume management, and backup solutions.

Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewall configuration.

Familiarity with security best practices for datacentre environments, including encryption, access control, and vulnerability management.

Experience preparing detailed migration design documents and runbooks.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues under pressure.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Flexible to work after hours to cater to application migration.
