We are looking for a

(Senior) Vendor Manager (m/f/d)

(unlimited, full-time) to join our team in Baden-Baden or Verl - flexible working conditions available

 

Your challenges

• You drive the sourcing of goods and services end-to-end, from market analysis and vendor selection to negotiation and award, while securing the best balance of quality, cost, risk, and long-term value.
• You manage contracts across their full lifecycle, from preparation and signature to renewals, changes and exit, and make sure agreed terms and savings are delivered.
• You build and develop strong, long-term relationships with key vendors, steer their performance and spot risks and opportunities in the market at an early stage.
• You use procurement tools, reports and KPIs to automate routine work, create transparency on spend, vendors and contracts, and prepare well-founded decisions.
• You act as a business partner for business units, advise them on sourcing and vendor topics, and share best practices and knowledge within the team.
• You identify and implement improvements to our procurement processes and tools to make them simpler, faster and scalable across the organization.

 

What you bring to the table

• You have a degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a comparable qualification.
• You have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in procurement, with a strong focus on IT and software sourcing, including negotiation, vendor and contract management.
• You bring strong analytical skills and feel comfortable working with KPIs, reports, data and complex requirements.
• You work in a structured and independent way, are a confident communicator with stakeholders and vendors, and understand procurement as a solution-oriented, advisory partner to the business.
• You are fluent in German and English and enjoy working in an international environment.
