Eurofins BPT-Columbia is seeking a Bioassay Scientist to join our growing team. This individual will support the development, qualification, validation, and execution of bioassays used to evaluate drug substances and drug products within a regulated laboratory environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with immunoassay platforms, strong analytical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality scientific results. This role offers opportunities to work with a variety of biologics testing methodologies while contributing to method development, assay validation, and client-focused projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine bioassay testing in accordance with cGMP requirements, SOPs, study protocols, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
• Develop, optimize, qualify, and validate bioanalytical methods supporting biologic drug development programs.
• Execute and troubleshoot immunoassays, including ELISA and multiplex immunoassays utilizing electrochemiluminescence (ECL) platforms.
• Analyze, interpret, and document experimental data using relevant laboratory software and statistical tools.
• Prepare technical reports, validation documentation, study records, and laboratory notebooks.
• Maintain compliance with data integrity, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for sample tracking and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and client timelines are achieved.
• Train and mentor junior scientists and laboratory staff as needed.
• Participate in laboratory investigations, method improvements, and continuous process enhancement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Scientist I

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Immunology, or a related scientific discipline.
• 0-2 years of industry or academic laboratory experience.

Scientist II

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Immunology, or a related scientific discipline with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
• OR Master's degree with at least 1 year of relevant laboratory experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing ELISA, multiplex ELISA, MSD, or other ligand-binding assays.
• Knowledge of bioassay development, qualification, and validation principles.
• Familiarity with cGMP, GLP, or other regulated laboratory environments.
• Experience with biologics, therapeutic proteins, antibodies, vaccines, or cell- and immuno-based assays.
• Proficiency with laboratory data analysis software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and data quality.

Schedule

Full-time
Monday-Friday
8:00 AM-4:30 PM

Additional hours may be required based on project and client needs.
