Contract Opportunity

This position provides in-depth technical support for one or more software products developed by Client and focuses on delivering targeted solutions and services to clients.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and translate into implementation plans and customization needs.
• Establish and manage client and project expectations at the start of every engagement.
• Collaborate and guide customers through established best-practices procedures.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a remote team environment.
• Prioritize and work on multiple projects concurrently, regardless of timeline variations.
• Perform product implementations and customization through remote login, or at customer site.
• Provide technical leadership and transfer technical skills and knowledge to client as needed.
• Participate in remote meetings with clients to effectively communicating project status.
• Demonstrate excellent written/documentation skills technical and non-technical.
• Technical focal point for problem determination, analysis, identification, testing, and resolution.
• Report and appropriately escalate issues and concerns to management as needed and in a timely manner.
• Manage the relationship with clients/partners and all stakeholders.
• Perform risk management to minimize possible project impacts.
• Collaborate with Customer and / or IBM Project Managers to ensure all required milestones are met.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 8 years hands-on Systems Support and/or z/OS Systems Programming experience supporting large-scale IMS for z/OS environments required.
• Deep knowledge of IBM IMS for z/OS, to include all manner of logging via OLDS (Online Log Data Set) and SLDS (System Log Data Set).
  • Knowledge covering different IMS record types and their relationships.
• Comprehensive understanding of JCL and IBM Utilities required.
• Demonstrated experience in z/OS software product installation and customization required.
• Strong problem determination and resolution skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge of IBM Z Performance and Capacity Analytics.
