Job Description

Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Purpose of the Role

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to customers both remotely and on-site across an international region. The role involves installation, maintenance, repair, training, and ongoing support of a range of specialised testing and inspection equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and support technical equipment, ensuring high service standards and customer satisfaction
  • Provide technical support via hotline, remote access, and on-site visits
  • Carry out commissioning and installation activities, including customer training
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
  • Liaise with internal engineering and quality teams to resolve technical issues and report product feedback
  • Develop and contribute to technical documentation, including manuals and product guides
  • Act as the main technical point of contact for customers, building strong working relationships
  • Work independently while collaborating with wider service and technical teams
  • Travel extensively across the assigned region to support customer requirements

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong technical background (engineering or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and basic electronics
  • Experience with testing, inspection, or similar technical equipment (desirable)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Hands-on approach with confidence using tools and working in practical environments
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce or similar)
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently (up to 75%)
  • Valid passport and driving licence
