Software Engineer, Defense Applications - Clearance Required with Security Clearance

Job Description: LMI is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to support defense applications and systems integration initiatives. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for defense customers, ensuring high-quality code and effective system integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software solutions for defense applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems
• Ensure code quality and maintainability
• Participate in requirements gathering and design sessions
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar
• Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Active Secret or higher clearance required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with defense contracting or government projects
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
