ITAM Capability Lead / Product Owner

ITAM Capability Lead / Product Owner Location: Kansas City, MO (preferred) or Cary, NC
Work Arrangement: Hybrid 3 days a week on-site (Open to relocation)
Employment Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Capability Lead, Product Manager, or similar role within an IT Asset Management environment.
• Deep expertise in enterprise ITAM practices and frameworks.
• Strong experience with:
• Hardware Asset Management (HAM Pro)
• Software Asset Management (SAM Pro)
• Software licensing management
• Asset lifecycle management
• Vendor compliance and software audits
• Demonstrated success leading ITAM maturity and transformation initiatives.
• Experience creating and executing capability roadmaps.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Ability to influence, educate, and drive adoption across diverse business groups.
• Experience balancing strategic planning with operational execution.
• Track record of leading organizational change and capability modernization efforts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ServiceNow ITAM, HAM Pro, and SAM Pro implementations or ownership.
• Experience supporting or partnering with Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) capabilities.
• Knowledge of AI, automation, and emerging technologies within IT operations and asset management.
• Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments.
• Background establishing governance models, KPIs, and maturity frameworks.
• Ability to demonstrate measurable growth of an ITAM practice from one maturity level to the next.
