PSV Engineer - Contract

<b>PSV Technician Contractor - London</b><br />Rate: £34p/h<br />Hours: Full-time, various shifts available<br /><b>Start Date:

Immediate / ASAP</b><br />NMS Recruit are currently looking for experienced PSV Technicians / Bus Mechanics to support a number of busy transport operators across London.<br />This is an excellent opportunity for experienced PSV Engineers looking for contract work, with ongoing assignments available across a number of London workshop locations.<br /><b>The Role</b><br />As a PSV Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of a modern fleet of buses and commercial passenger vehicles.<br /><b>Your duties will include:</b><br />·Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance<br />·Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and vehicle system faults<br />·Completing mechanical repairs to PSV vehicles<br />·Working on braking, suspension, steering and drivetrain systems<br />·Carrying out inspections and defect rectification<br />·Preparing vehicles for MOT and safety inspections<br />·Using diagnostic equipment where required<br />·Completing relevant maintenance documentation<br />·Ensuring vehicles are maintained to DVSA and operator standards<br /><b>Requirements</b><br />·Previous experience working as a PSV Technician, Bus Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician<br />·Experience maintaining buses, coaches or heavy commercial vehicles<br />·NVQ Level 3 / City &amp; Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent preferred<br />·Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills<br />·Own tools where required<br />·Ability to work independently within a busy workshop environment<br />·A PSV licence is advantageous but not essential.<br /><b>What's Available</b><br />·Competitive contractor rates<br />·Ongoing contract opportunities<br />·Full-time hours<br />·Day, late and night shifts potentially available<br />·Opportunities across multiple London locations<br />·Potential for long-term assignments<br />If you are an experienced PSV Technician / Bus Mechanic looking for your next contract in London, please apply with an up-to-date CV or contact Alex Drury at NMS Recruit for further information.<br /><br /><br /><br />Important Information:
