Job Description: Quality Analyst 1

Location : Richmond, Virginia-onsite

 

Position Overview

We are seeking an early-career Quality Analyst (0–2+ years’ experience) to join our team under senior guidance. This role blends foundational business systems analysis with software quality assurance to ensure delivered solutions align with business needs. You will assist in analysing user requirements, designing test cases, executing manual tests, and tracking defects to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

·       Partner with senior analysts and business users to gather and document business/user requirements.

·       Translate functional specifications into detailed, executable manual test plans and test cases.

·       Execute test plans, validate system behaviours, and log software defects with clear reproduction steps.

·       Assist in basic root-cause analysis for identified bugs and verify fixes with development teams.

·       Support business process documentation and assist in identifying areas for workflow improvements.

·       Participate in QA review meetings and collaborate with cross-functional IT team members.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 0–2+ years of experience in software quality assurance, test execution, or business analysis.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience (up to 4 years of progressive experience).

 

Core Skills:

Solid understanding of software testing lifecycles (STLC) and defect tracking workflows.

Strong foundational skills in requirements gathering and business process documentation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving aptitude.
