Job Title: Tableau BI Developer
Location: Remote (EST/CST Candidates Only)
Duration: 6 Months (Contract-to-Hire)
 
 
Job Description
We are seeking a Tableau BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence dashboards and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Tableau, SQL, SSRS, SSIS, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling in an enterprise environment. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and BI reports.
  • Develop and support SSRS reports and SSIS ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
  • Design and maintain data models, including schema design, normalization, and denormalization.
  • Troubleshoot BI reports, dashboards, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support project delivery.
  • Create technical documentation and provide ongoing production support.
Required Skills
  • 3+ years of BI/report development experience.
  • 2+ years of Tableau, SSRS, and SSIS experience.
  • Strong SQL skills (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL).
  • Experience with ETL/ELT development and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and database design.
  • Experience with Tableau dashboard development in enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Insurance industry experience.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and compliance standards (SOX, SOC 2).
  • Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
