Job Description
Data Analyst to support the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Training Directorate contract in Linthicum Heights, MD. The Data Analyst will identify and collect data from multiple sources, analyze and interpret data, monitor data quality, and develop data-driven insights to support organizational decision-making and performance improvement. The position will work with business owners, subject matter experts, and data/BI teams to define requirements and develop dashboards, KPIs, performance measures, and data solutions.
This is currently a hybrid position (1 day onsite and 4 days telework) but may be subject to change at the client's discretion. Benefits include competitive PTO, 11 Paid Government Holidays, a 401k with 6% match, and a comprehensive list of health care options.
Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to support organizational requirements.
- Use R or Python, SQL, Tableau, and other analytical and visualization tools to manipulate, analyze, and present data.
- Evaluate and monitor data quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Apply data management best practices, including data sourcing, key data elements, metadata, data quality, and enterprise data management.
- Collaborate with business owners and SMEs to conduct information discovery sessions and define data requirements.
- Translate business and data requirements into technical requirements and actionable solutions.
- Develop and maintain KPIs, performance measures, dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
- Analyze high-volume structured and unstructured data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Apply Data-Driven and Data-Informed Decision-Making (DIDM) methodologies to support program improvement.
- Support data dictionaries, data models, metadata repositories, and other data management tools.
- Collaborate with data science, business intelligence, and analytics teams.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and standardized documentation and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities; may provide guidance to junior personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience using R or Python and SQL to manipulate and analyze data.
- 3+ years of experience with Tableau or other data visualization/BI tools.
- Experience with data management, data quality, metadata, data sourcing, and enterprise data management practices.
- Experience gathering and translating requirements from business owners and SMEs.
- Experience developing KPIs, performance measures, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Experience applying data-driven/data-informed decision-making methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
