Job Description
We are UMG, Universal Music Group, the world's leading music company. We own and operate businesses in recorded music, music publishing, merchandising, and audiovisual content in more than 60 countries. We identify and develop recording artists and songwriters and produce, distribute, and promote the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful music.
Job Functions- Deploy network solutions following documented implementation plans.
- Create configurations for network equipment deployments following UMG standard processes.
- Physically install network and security equipment to support designs.
- Turnover implemented work to the operational support teams.
- Ensure network project documentation is complete and accurate.
- Review proposed solutions to ensure delivery of a quality product and/or service.
- Confirm alignment of customer expectations with implementation plans.
- Provide documentation and communication to management for status, coordination, objectives, and performance.
- Work with service providers for coordination, delivery, and testing of network circuits.
- Assess and troubleshoot, consult with vendors, and coordinate with other teams for problem resolution of build activities.
- Ensure compliance with incident, problem, and change management procedures and standards to ITIL standards by all Sourcing Provider(s).
- Attend technical project review meetings.
- Ensure project technical designs meet UMG's operational requirements and comply with UMG infrastructure and security standards.
- Perform other tasks as deemed necessary or appropriate.
- Cisco CCNA or greater preferred.
- Ability to establish and troubleshoot BGP and OSPF peering.
- Ability to create and deploy wireless SSIDs using both 802.1x and PSK security models.
- Knowledge of firewall configuration and rule creation.
- Ability to follow migration plans for minimal disruption to existing network.
- Solid written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Fluent in English (written and oral).
- Experienced IT professional with 2+ years overall experience and minimum of 1 year as a Network Administrator.
- Experience in the design and delivery of customer facing presentations.
- Experience configuring and/or administering firewalls (Palo Alto preferred, 1 year minimum).
- Experience implementing networks in both Greenfield and Brownfield deployments.
