Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Windchill Data Migration Lead with 8–10+ years of hands-on experience leading end-to-end PLM data migration projects within PTC Windchill.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in ETL processes, data mapping, transformation, and validation, along with experience using WBM, Java APIs, and SQL scripts.

Medical Device industry experience is highly preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in data migration projects within a Windchill environment.
• Manage end-to-end Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) of PLM data into or out of PTC Windchill.
• Define the complete migration roadmap, including scope, risk management, scheduling, and migration strategies.
• Analyze source and target data models to create precise source-to-target mapping rules for:
• Parts
• Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• CAD Documents
• Change Notices
• Utilize tools such as WBM, custom Java APIs, and SQL scripts for data extraction and loading.
• Identify data quality issues, handle duplicate records, resolve relationship breaks, and perform pre-load/post-load reconciliation.
• Act as a bridge between business users, functional analysts, IT infrastructure teams, and data migration teams.
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge of the Windchill PLM domain.
• Understand Windchill data models, workflows, and configurations.
• Experience migrating data from non-PLM systems into Windchill environments is advantageous.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of data migration concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Have proficiency in Windchill data migration tools and utilities, including site consolidation tools and processes.
• Experience with data mapping, transformation, and validation techniques.
• Proficiency in scripting languages for automating migration processes.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications in data management or PLM are advantageous.
