The State of Michigan is looking for a Senior Data Engineer

Top Skills & Years of Experience:

- Candidates MUST have strong project management reporting & portfolio analytics experience

- A minimum of three (3), and preferably four to seven (4–7) years, of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence, data analytics, or a related information technology discipline.

- Experience integrating, transforming, and analyzing data from multiple enterprise systems using SQL and modern data engineering techniques.

- Experience developing interactive dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting using Microsoft Power BI or comparable business intelligence platforms.

- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance measures.

Clear and concise written and verbal communication is crucial to success and productivity in this role.

 

- Interview Process: Virtual Interview via MS Teams video. Please use laptop and be prepared to share screen if asked.

- Duration: 1 year with possible extension

- Hybrid: Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week. Wednesdays and Thursdays are required onsite days.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or another closely related field.

A minimum of three (3), and preferably four to seven (4–7) years, of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence, data analytics, or a related information technology discipline.
