Job Description

Technical Project Manager (TPM)
Location : Phoenix, AZ - Hybrid 
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) plans, executes, and oversees technology-driven initiatives from initiation to closure. Acting as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, the TPM ensures that complex engineering projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Delivery: Define project scope, requirements, milestones, and success metrics. Build detailed project plans, roadmaps, and release schedules using Agile/Scrum or Waterfall frameworks.

  • Technical Leadership & Execution: Translate high-level business goals into actionable engineering tasks. Collaborate with software engineers, architects, QA, and DevOps to address technical dependencies, system architecture constraints, and API integrations.

  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify technical bottlenecks, project risks, and resource dependencies early; develop proactive mitigation strategies.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain transparent communication across executive leadership, product managers, external vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams.

  • Process Improvement: Facilitate sprint ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning) and enforce quality assurance standards and documentation best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience managing technology projects or working in a technical role (e.g., software engineer, systems analyst).

  • Technical Skills:

    • Solid grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform), and API systems.

    • Hands-on proficiency with project tracking tools (Jira, Confluence, Trello, or Asana).

  • Methodologies: Strong experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Hybrid methodologies.

  • Certifications (Preferred): PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or SAFe Agile.
