The Role

• Operate heavy equipment such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Perform pre- and post-use equipment inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics tasks.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment according to established protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working outdoors in various weather conditions and lifting up to 50lbs.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs on railcars.
