CivicPlus Implementation Specialist

Remote Opportunity

We are seeking a CivicPlus Implementation Specialist to support the implementation, migration, launch, and stabilization of municipal websites and digital services.

This role will work closely with City departments, IT staff, communications teams, and CivicPlus resources to deliver an accessible, secure, and resident-focused digital experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Configure and implement CivicPlus website and digital-service solutions.
• Lead content inventory, cleanup, migration, validation, and publishing activities.
• Translate departmental needs into site architecture, navigation, page templates, forms, workflows, and permissions.
• Coordinate integrations with municipal systems, third-party applications, calendars, alerts, and online services.
• Support accessibility, mobile responsiveness, search optimization, records-management, and security requirements.
• Plan and conduct functional testing, content validation, user acceptance testing, and launch-readiness reviews.
• Manage URL redirects and verify links, documents, forms, and critical resident service paths.
• Develop governance standards, publishing procedures, and administrator training.
• Coordinate go-live activities and provide post-launch stabilization and issue resolution.
• Document configurations, decisions, risks, dependencies, and outstanding actions.

Qualifications:

• Experience implementing or administering CivicPlus, preferably CivicEngage or related municipal digital solutions.
• Experience with government website redesigns, CMS configuration, or large-scale content migrations.
• Working knowledge of web accessibility, content governance, information architecture, and responsive design.
• Experience coordinating testing, training, launch, and post-launch support.
• Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with technical and nontechnical municipal stakeholders.
• Experience with municipal communications, public-sector procurement, multilingual content, and integrations with ERP, permitting, recreation, utility, or service-request systems is preferred.
