Senior DevOps & Application Support Engineer

Job Description

The Senior DevOps & Application Support Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving Cambium Assessment's operational environments, deployment processes, cloud infrastructure, and assessment platforms. This role will serve as a bridge between development, operations, and project teams to ensure reliable system performance, successful deployments, and efficient production support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong operations and DevOps background with enough software development experience to troubleshoot applications, implement automation, support enhancements, and assist engineering teams when needed.

This position will focus primarily on operational support, environment management, release management, deployment automation, troubleshooting, and cloud infrastructure, with development activities performed as needed.

Job Requirements

Operational Support & Environment Management

•             Support Development, UAT, and Production environments.

•             Monitor application health, system performance, and operational dashboards.

•             Troubleshoot production incidents, application issues, and data processing failures.

•             Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.

•             Work directly with project managers to investigate and resolve client-reported issues.

•             Support data processing activities, operational workflows, and scheduled jobs.

•             Participate in production support and release activities.

DevOps & Automation

•             Maintain deployment scripts and release procedures.

•             Manage environment configurations and application settings.

•             Improve operational monitoring and alerting capabilities.

Cloud & Infrastructure Support

•             Support AWS-hosted environments and services.

•             Manage cloud resources used by Assessment applications.

•             Support system scalability, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness.

Application Support & Development

•             Troubleshoot .NET applications and services.

•             Support application enhancements and defect resolution.

•             Develop utility programs, automation tools, and operational scripts.

•             Assist development teams with code reviews, and release readiness.

•             Support database development and troubleshooting activities.

Required Qualifications

•             Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

•             9+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications and operational environments.

•             Strong troubleshooting and production support skills.

•             Experience supporting .NET applications.

•             Strong SQL skills, including:

                o             Query development

                o             Stored procedures

                o             Data analysis

                o             Troubleshooting data issues

•             Experience managing deployments and release processes.

•             Experience working with AWS cloud technologies.

•             Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Max Vendor Rate (Contractor hourly rate inclusive of Supplier mark-up)  $44
