Department:
Drainage/Depot Network consists of a strategically located depot network across the UK, spanning from Aberdeen to Plymouth.  Enabling rapid response to customer requirements and providing round-the-clock coverage, 365 days a year.

This extensive footprint allows Lanes to combine local responsiveness with national capability, ensuring consistent service standards while maintaining close relationships with regional customers and infrastructure partners.

Purpose of the role:

Operating mainline and pushrod camera units carrying out surveys of the drainage network across a broad spectrum on infrastructure. Inspecting, surveying, and assessing drainage and sewer systems using specialist CCTV camera equipment. The role helps identify blockages, defects, cracks, collapses, and other drainage issues so that appropriate repairs can be planned and carried out.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain great customer service and communication
• Updating and completing site documentation using electronic tablet
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe system of work.
• Report any issues or hazards by following company procedures
• Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks
• Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Wearing and maintaining in good condition any Personal Protective Equipment.

About the Role:

• Location: Plymouth
• Hours: Monday to Friday (8:00-16:30)
• Salary: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour dependant on experience
• 21 days holiday + bank holidays  

Key Requirements

Skills & Experience:

• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

• Banksman Experience
• Manual Handling Training
• Emergency First Aid
