Project Manager- Modernization Implementation Manager

This role will lead the planning, procurement, and implementation of a large-scale, multi-year technology modernization initiative involving a SaaS vendor.

Position: Child Care Systems Modernization Implementation Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead large-scale technology modernization and digital transformation initiatives involving SaaS platforms.

• Develop modernization roadmaps, implementation strategies, project plans, charters, risk registers, and governance frameworks.

• Lead procurement planning, including RFPs, RFIs, SOWs, vendor evaluations, selection, and contract negotiations.

• Coordinate with executive leadership, business stakeholders, IT teams, and SaaS vendors.

• Manage project risks, dependencies, budgets, reporting, and implementation readiness.

• Prepare executive briefings, status reports, and strategic recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

• 15+ years of managing large-scale IT projects and developing project artifacts.

• 10+ years of procurement planning experience.

• 12+ years of executive reporting, stakeholder communication, and MS Project (or equivalent).

• Proven experience leading SaaS modernization or digital transformation initiatives.

• Strong vendor management, procurement, and contract negotiation experience.

• Project management certification or completion of a recognized PM curriculum is mandatory at submission.

Preferred: Government modernization, legacy-to-SaaS migration, cloud platforms, and Agile methodologies.
