Systems Engineer III / IV
Position Overview
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the design, development, integration, verification, and sustainment of complex systems throughout the system development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in systems engineering principles and experience supporting requirements development, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), system architecture, integration, testing, and verification activities.
This position offers opportunities to contribute across multiple systems engineering disciplines, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), requirements management, system architecture, integration and test, verification and validation, and technical planning.
Candidates may be considered for Systems Engineer III or Systems Engineer IV based on experience, technical expertise, and leadership capabilities. Responsibilities Support the development, analysis, and management of system requirements and technical baselines.
Utilize MBSE tools to model system behavior, architecture, interfaces, and workflows.
Develop and maintain requirements traceability throughout the system lifecycle.
Create and refine operational concepts, use cases, and system-level documentation.
Participate in system integration, verification, validation, and test activities.
Develop integration strategies, test plans, test procedures, and test scenarios.
Analyze test results and support corrective action and issue resolution efforts.
Collaborate with software, hardware, cybersecurity, and program stakeholders to ensure successful system implementation.
Conduct technical reviews and present engineering artifacts to project teams and leadership.
Support Agile development processes and multidisciplinary engineering efforts. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and relevant Systems Engineering experience. An advanced degree may be substituted for a portion of the required experience. Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as: Cameo
Rhapsody Experience with requirements management and traceability tools such as: DOORS
Jama Experience developing and managing system requirements, use cases, and CONOPS.
Familiarity with Verification and Validation (V&V) processes.
Experience supporting systems engineering activities across multiple phases of the system lifecycle. Candidates should demonstrate experience in one or more of the following areas:
MBSE / Architecture Focus Developing system models and engineering artifacts.
Creating and decomposing: Activity Diagrams
Sequence Diagrams
State Machine Diagrams
Block Definition Diagrams
Internal Block Diagrams
Package Diagrams System architecture development and requirements decomposition. Integration & Test Focus Developing integration and test plans.
Creating test procedures and test scenarios.
Executing integration, verification, and validation activities.
Documenting test results and supporting corrective actions. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading requirements elicitation activities and stakeholder engagements.
Experience defining and maintaining data models.
Experience presenting technical models, architectures, or engineering artifacts to stakeholders.
Experience supporting Agile development methodologies and tools.
Experience performing system-of-systems integration.
Experience leading technical efforts or mentoring junior engineers.
Experience supporting large-scale complex engineering programs.
