Job Description

Job Role:          Product Manager / Business Analyst (HCM)

Work type :     Contract (12months with extension)

Location:         Alpharetta, GA

Experience:   7 + years

As a Product Manager/Business Analyst for Payroll, you will work alongside a passionate and creative team of Pre-Builders, UX designers, architects and developers to bring our next-generation Payroll capabilities to market. You’ll make them easier to use while helping our clients stay compliant, manage costs, and save time. You will work closely with internal partners, clients, architects, developers, and subject matter experts across the entire product development lifecycle – from problem definition and technical solutioning through design, development, launch, adoption and continuous improvement.

To thrive in this role, you must have deep Payroll domain expertise, strong technical acumen, take command of your product, lead multiple teams’ efforts, and be a deep listener who can ask the right clarifying questions to understand the problems your stakeholders are trying to solve. You stay close to market and technology trends, anticipate our customers’ next questions, and bring new ideas into the mix. You love evangelizing your product and communicate with confidence. You also have the experience to take your product into the marketplace and position it competitively for maximum client and financial impact.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Here’s what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Scrum: You’ll start each day working with teams to understand responsibilities, identify issues, resolve dependencies, and communicate priorities. You’ll work in a modern, AI-enabled product development environment.
  • Technical Solutioning & Architecture: You’ll partner closely with architects and engineering teams to drive technical solutioning and influence architectural decisions for complex payroll capabilities. You’ll help translate business and product requirements into scalable technical solutions, understanding system integrations, APIs, data flows, dependencies, and downstream impacts, while evaluating technical trade-offs to ensure solutions align with the broader Lyric HCM architecture and product strategy.
  • Pre-Builder & AI-DLC: You’ll operate as a Pre-Builder within companies AI-enabled development lifecycle (AI-DLC), helping move ideas from problem definition to build-ready solutions. You’ll leverage AI-enabled tools and practices to accelerate discovery, requirements definition, solution design and prototyping, partnering with engineering and UX to validate concepts early, clarify technical requirements, identify edge cases, and reduce ambiguity before development begins.
  • Product Vision & Roadmap: You’ll document and prioritize product features and user stories while translating complex payroll and business requirements into actionable product capabilities. You’ll continuously learn and research new industry and technology trends to make our products better. You’ll incorporate what makes sense into your product roadmap based on our clients, the market, companies goals, and the evolving technology landscape.
  • Collaboration & Partnership: You’ll create strong alliances with diverse stakeholders and ensure everyone is working toward shared outcomes and communicating effectively. You’ll collaborate across multiple teams – including developers, architects, other product managers, UX teams, payroll SMEs and business stakeholders – to continually drive innovation and make the product the best it can be.
  • Metrics: You’ll measure product effectiveness, define and monitor success metrics, report outcomes, and use data and client insights to drive priorities and product decisions.
  • Alignment: You’ll communicate with internal and external stakeholders to articulate product and technical decisions, defend recommendations, explain trade-offs, and confidently answer critical business and technical questions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of experience in the Payroll domain, with strong payroll and product expertise.
  • 3–5 years of experience as an enterprise B2B Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, Business Analyst, or implementation/service consultant.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into functional and technical requirements and work effectively with architecture and engineering teams.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts, APIs, system integrations, data flows, and modern cloud-based product development.
  • Experience working in Agile product development environments, partnering closely with engineering, UX, architecture and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex systems, identify dependencies, evaluate trade-offs and drive decisions.

Experience with AI-enabled product development tools or development lifecycle practices is preferred
