Equinox seeks a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Manager to join our Procurement team. The Senior Manager, Capital Procurement manages the company’s sourcing strategy, supplier management, and commercial execution for capital projects across all business units. This role serves as the primary procurement partner to Construction, Facilities, Operations, IT, and Finance ensuring capital investments are competitively sourced, contractually protected, delivered on budget, and aligned with company procurement policies. This role reports into our Senior Director of Procurement and sits at our headquarters in Hudson Yards.


The role is accountable for developing and executing procurement strategies supporting new club expansions, existing club renovations, fitness equipment, HVAC, capital repairs, club technology, automation, construction contracting duties (including contractor prequalification, comparing bids, contract types, retainage, lien waivers, bonding), lease-vs-buy and financing analysis, and partner with Real Estate on landlord build-out allowances.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute company-wide CAPEX sourcing strategies supporting annual capital investment plans.
  • Drive competitive sourcing to maximize cost savings, optimize capital, mitigate risk, and improve project outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage preferred suppliers, supplier consolidation, category optimization, and company purchasing agreements.
  • Lead sourcing activities for large-scale capital projects from project conception through project closeout.
  • Partner with Construction, Finance, Design, Architecture, and project managers to ensure alignment on budget, specs, and timelines.
  • Support business cases through market intelligence, budgeting support, should-cost analysis, and supplier benchmarking.
  • Oversee supplier selection, negotiation strategies, contract execution, and change order governance.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, payment structures, service agreements, warranties, performance guarantees, and risk allocation provisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in procurement and category management capital purchases.
  • Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and deliver measurable procurement value.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply market research to investment planning.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, and influencing skills for both internal and external business partners.
  • Strategic mindset combined with a passion for finding better ways to drive cost savings results.
  • Strong financial management and analysis skills
  • Ability to influence and to drive value as a trusted business partner.
  • Results-oriented with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Must be a team player who understands the importance of the role as a key support function to the organization.

Pay Transparency: $150k - $165k
