Design Consultant / Retail Sales Professional

Klingman's Furniture & Design seeks a Design Consultant / Retail Sales Professional to help customers create stylish, comfortable living spaces. In this showroom-based role, you'll greet shoppers, learn their needs, and recommend coordinated furniture, mattresses, and décor solutions. You'll use design tools, product knowledge, and room-planning skills to present tailored options and close sales. Working in a collaborative, customer-focused environment, you'll support store merchandising, stay current on trends and promotions, and build lasting client relationships while growing your expertise in home furnishings and interior design.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage showroom customers, building rapport and understanding style, budget, and functional needs
• Create personalized furniture and décor plans, presenting coordinated room designs and product options
• Guide customers through product features, pricing, and warranties to support confident purchase decisions
• Prepare quotes, process sales transactions, and manage order follow-up to ensure on-time, accurate delivery
• Maintain an appealing, well-organized showroom that reflects current trends and promotions
• Use design tools, fabric swatches, and samples to develop and present visual design concepts
• Collaborate with teammates and management to meet individual and store sales goals
• Stay current on product lines, inventory, and promotions to provide up-to-date recommendations
• Coordinate with delivery and customer service teams to resolve issues and support a smooth experience
• Build long-term customer relationships through follow-up, post-sale support, and referrals
