We are seeking a Senior Cloud Application Engineer (Windows/.NET Cloud Migration) to support the migration and modernization of enterprise applications into AWS. This individual will partner with engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to migrate legacy Windows-based applications, optimize cloud environments, and improve scalability, security, and reliability across a complex enterprise ecosystem.

The ideal candidate combines strong Microsoft development experience with cloud migration expertise and enjoys solving complex technical challenges across both application and infrastructure layers.

What You'll Do

• Lead the migration of Windows/.NET applications from a legacy hosting environment into AWS.
• Assess existing application architecture and recommend migration and modernization strategies.
• Configure and administer Windows Server and IIS environments within AWS.
• Deploy and support workloads using AWS services including EC2, ECS/Fargate, and S3.
• Containerize applications using Docker where appropriate.
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and deployment issues throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Partner closely with architects, DevOps engineers, infrastructure teams, security teams, and application developers.
• Participate in technical planning, architecture discussions, and production deployments.
• Develop technical documentation, migration runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve application performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of experience developing or supporting enterprise .NET applications.
• Strong experience with:
  • C#
  • .NET Framework
• Experience administering:
  • Windows Server
  • IIS
• Hands-on AWS experience including:
  • EC2
  • ECS/Fargate
  • S3
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies.
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise applications and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience migrating applications from Rackspace or other legacy hosting providers.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• AWS Certifications.
• Experience working in highly regulated or secure enterprise environments.
