Information Security Lead / Work Life Balance

A leading multi-entity organization is seeking an Information Security Lead for a full-time opportunity in the Chicago area. This role is ideal for a highly technical security professional who thrives in environments where they can design, build, and implement enterprise security solutions using technologies like Microsoft 365, Defender, Intune, Entra ID, and modern vulnerability management platforms.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact "build" role where you will own security initiatives from concept through execution. Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, systems, or network engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft security stack (M365, Defender, Intune, Entra ID)
• Background in designing and implementing security solutions from the ground up
• Experience with incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (firewalls, segmentation, routing)
• Experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Rapid7 or similar)
• Strong understanding of identity and access management systems

Desired Skills & Experience

• Security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, Security+, etc.)
• Experience working in manufacturing or multi-site environments
• Familiarity with security frameworks and building playbooks
• Experience leading projects and working cross-functionally
