Senior Delivery Manager – Digital Services &amp; Technology<br />Contract: Up to six months<br />Location: South-West, primarily remote with only one day per month onsite<br />IR35: Inside IR35<br />Clearance: Existing SC clearance is desirable.

Candidates must be eligible for SC clearance and have achieved BPSS.<br />Rate: £600p/d Inside IR35 Exalto Consulting is supporting a UK-based organisation in the search for a Senior Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of complex digital products and services.

This is a senior delivery role with responsibility for multiple concurrent projects. You will work across delivery teams, programmes and technology leadership, providing clear oversight, resolving organisational blockers and ensuring delivery remains aligned with wider business priorities. The role You will:

Lead and support multiple multidisciplinary agile delivery teams. Coach and mentor delivery managers and junior members of the delivery community. Develop and maintain delivery plans, progress reporting and meaningful delivery metrics. Identify and remove risks, blockers and organisational impediments.

Work closely with product, technical and user-centred design colleagues. Communicate delivery progress, challenges and priorities to senior stakeholders. Conduct internal digital governance assessments aligned with GDS service standards. Coach teams in agile, lean and product delivery practices.

Support and deputise for the Head of Delivery Management when required. Contribute to resourcing, objective setting and the continued development of the delivery function. Experience required You will need: Significant experience leading and coaching agile delivery teams. Extensive experience mentoring and developing delivery managers.

Strong working knowledge of Government Digital Service governance standards. Experience training and coaching others in the application of GDS standards. A track record of delivering complex digital products and services using agile and lean approaches. Experience managing multiple deliveries and working with senior stakeholders.

The ability to influence across organisational, technical and political boundaries. Experience embedding improvements to agile delivery practices and governance. Confidence operating in complex, high-profile and ambiguous delivery environments.

Product Owner or Scrum Master accreditation and experience of matrix-managing complex teams would be beneficial. This role would suit an experienced delivery leader who can balance strategic oversight with practical delivery support, build effective teams and help improve how digital services are delivered
