Job Description

Cybersecurity Developer

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Developer to join a global Cryptography and Secrets Management engineering team responsible for building, integrating, and operating enterprise cybersecurity services. This role involves Python development, cybersecurity, automation, DevSecOps, and production support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop integrations for enterprise Hardware Security Modules and Key Management Solutions
  • Design and develop Python-based cybersecurity tools and automation
  • Build tooling and AI-assisted solutions for operational enablement, cybersecurity analysis, and remediation
  • Develop and consume REST APIs
  • Perform DevSecOps and CI/CD activities
  • Develop automated testing frameworks and test suites
  • Automate security remediation and operational processes
  • Troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues
  • Support remediation of security findings and vulnerabilities
  • Improve service reliability, resiliency, and observability
  • Develop integrations with enterprise technology platforms
  • Participate in architecture and technical design discussions
  • Conduct and participate in code reviews
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies
  • Develop technical documentation and share engineering best practices
  • Participate in an on-call rotation

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional Python development experience
  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Experience with Python libraries including requests, json, logging, argparse, subprocess, pandas, and pytest
  • 2+ years of Bash/Shell scripting
  • REST API development and integration experience
  • Strong Linux experience
  • Git version control
  • CI/CD experience
  • Vulnerability management and remediation experience
  • Understanding of secure software development practices
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a globally distributed engineering team

Work Environment

This position is onsite in Montreal, QC, Canada, and local candidates are required. The engineer will work within a globally distributed build-and-run cybersecurity team and should be comfortable owning solutions through development, deployment, troubleshooting, production support, and continuous improvement, including participation in an on-call rotation.
