We're hiring for a renowned technology solutions provider with a long-standing history as a trusted partner to the Department of Defense. The Role
• Perform a wide variety of naval architecture design and analysis activities for hovercraft, ships, boats, and other marine systems.
• Conduct computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analyses (FEA) to assess performance, validate adequacy, and optimize system design.
• Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, program managers, and CAD designers, to refine performance and develop deliverables.
• Manage task requirements and execution timelines, developing Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) with minimal supervision.
• Document technical findings in comprehensive reports and present results to diverse stakeholders.
What You'll Need
• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 3+ years of experience in naval architecture with a strong focus on CFD applications.
• Proficiency in CFD software (e.g., Star-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM) and FEA software (e.g., Femap, NASTRAN, ANSYS).
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, hydrodynamics, and maritime systems, with experience in CAD and 3D modeling tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations.
• Ability to utilize spreadsheets for design equations and interpret experimental data to validate simulation results.
